Born in Hangzhou, China, Zhu Junbei is a veteran artist in China. As a partner and creative director of POA, he oversees and directs all POA design projects. With a solid professional background and a high standard of creative control, he leads the team in implementing POA's design philosophy into projects at different scales: from the human scale to the urban scale, from design thinking and conceptualisation to the final architectural form, and finding a unique artistic and aesthetic response to these projects that is appropriate to the conditions of the site, to ensure that the design intent is realised perfectly and in line with POA's established standards. Zhu Junbei received his undergraduate degree in animation from Zhejiang Wanli University in 2011, and founded his personal art studio, Flower Fire Picture, in 2012. Prior to joining POA, he had twelve years of relevant creative experience in the fields of art design, film, and oil painting. He focuses on the content and reflective nature of art, adheres to a human-centred approach, and believes that art and thought are the light of civilisation. 2024, he joined POA Architects, and has participated in and guided the creative design of projects such as the China Eygoya Exhibition Centre, Wuhan Eygoya East Neighbourhood Centre, and the Phoenix Green Valley Comprehensive Protection Zone project. Zhu Junbei is also responsible for representing POA in various art exhibitions and conceptual proposals.
