POA Project Selected for China Pavilion at the UIA World Congress of Architects 2026, Barcelona

On November 11, 2025, Pan Chengshou was invited to attend the "Symposium on Exhibiting Projects of the China Pavilion at the 29th UIA World Congress of Architects 2026, Barcelona".

Liu Yulong, Chief Curator, Chairman and Chief Architect of Tsinghua University Architectural Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "THAD"), announced at the symposium that two projects designed by POA Architecture—the "China Eye Valley Convention and Exhibition Center" and the "Intelligent Industrial Park on the Roof of Binhai Water Purification Plant"—have been selected among the exhibiting projects of the China Pavilion at the 2026 UIA World Congress of Architects. He also shared the latest progress in the exhibition curation.

POA's design breaks the boundaries between convention and exhibition architecture, industrial symbols, and urban ecology, instead creating a composite space where the "Eye Valley" symbol—formed by two circles resembling an eye—is embedded with the industrial vision. The new building, with its dynamic form of a large S-curve, wraps around the urban landscape of mountains and water, creating a striking contrast and echo between the orderly structure of the convention and exhibition functions and the flowing curves of the natural landscape.

Intelligent Industrial Park on the Roof of Binhai Water Purification Plant

POA opted to integrate the development of the water purification plant with the intelligent manufacturing industrial park. The semi-underground sewage treatment plant features efficiently aligned structural column grids of the upper and lower buildings, creating an urban landmark landscape in the city's core industrial zone that blends mountain-water symbiosis with urban integration.

The building extracts natural elements to create a fluid modern façade, integrating technology with a green ecological ambiance, while providing a new space for an urban intelligent industrial park—one that connects with nature, is highly efficient and composite, open and shared, and belongs to the citizens.
