About Us

        Pan of Architects (commonly referred to as POA) is a Shanghai-based architectural practice with operations in the fields of architecture, products, landscape, engineering and planning. The office is currently involved in a large number of projects in Europe, North America, Asia and China, and as of 2024, the company has won numerous architectural competitions and international awards.

POA Architects was founded in Hong Kong in 2020 by architect Pan Chengshou and moved to Shanghai in 2022. POA is a promising new firm, a Chinese architectural practice that has developed rapidly in recent years and attracted the attention of the international architectural community. In 2024, POA joined the AIA American Institute of Architects and became an internationally recognized Chinese design firm. In the same year, the Royal Institute of British Architects awarded POA a chartered member.

POA's architectural practice is based in China, but has a broad international perspective, focusing on people-oriented and sustainable development issues, and has the ideal of creating future architecture. And in 2024, it won the 2024 Asia Pacific 40 under 40 Annual Award. In the context of China's rapid modernization of urban construction, POA has conducted extensive theoretical research and engineering practice, and POA's spatial art is also becoming a reality around the world.

History

POA Architects was founded in late 2020 and received widespread acclaim for its first completed public rental housing project. Since then, POA has participated in many projects around the world, including the "Phoenix Green Valley" Comprehensive Bonded Zone in Yiwu, China, Wuqian Sports Park in Cangnan, China, Oulian Auto Plaza in Wenzhou, China, the Convention and Exhibition Center in Eye Valley, China, Wuhan Optics Valley East Neighborhood Center in Wuhan, China, the Binhai Water Treatment Plant Covered Intelligent Industrial Park in Wenzhou, China, and the Digital Agriculture Cooperative in Cangnan, China.

In 2021, the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic almost changed POA's view of the world. During the lockdown to fight the epidemic, POA participated in the architectural competition for the community health center, and then POA began to work with the hospital to design the "Tengjiao Health Center" in Pingyang, which was completed in 2027.

In December 2024, the company's partners expanded. In the same year, POA launched their first book and held an exhibition, which is a rethinking of nature's self-esteem and human habitation, about exploring the evolution of "green architecture" through the harmonious coexistence of people, buildings and the environment.
